Slow-cooker beef brisket with sweet onions, beef broth, peppercorns, and optional blue cheese.
Ingredients
- Sweet Onions (cut into 10 inch slices cut inch cut): 2 Large
- Flat-Cut Boneless Beef Brisket (about 3 pounds): 1
- Salt And Black Pepper
- Beef Broth (about 14 ounces each): 2 Can
- Cracked Black Peppercorns (cracked): 1 TSP
- Crumbled Blue Cheese (Optional, Crumbled): 3/4 Cup
Instructions
- Coat inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Layer onions, beef, salt, black pepper, broth and peppercorns in the slow cooker.
- Cover; cook on HIGH 5 to 7 hours.
- Remove brisket to large cutting board.
- Cover loosely with foil; let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
- Slice evenly against the grain into ten slices.
- To serve, arrange onions on serving platter and spread slices of brisket on top.
- Sprinkle with blue cheese, if desired.
- Serve with cooking liquid.
