Grandma noted on the recipe card that she sometimes used Crispix in place of the wheat Chex. She would make huge batches of this every year at Christmas time. I must have eaten my weight in Party Mix by the time I was an adult.
Ingredients
Corn Chex Cereal
Wheat Chex Cereal
Rice Chex Cereal
Shoestring Potatoes (size of 2 1 2): 2 Can
Cheerios
Worcestershire Sauce (Divided, divided): 6 TSP
Seasoned Salt
Very Thin Pretzel Sticks (broken in half broken in half broken in half): 1 Cup
Mixed Nuts (any amount desired)
Oleo (Divided, divided): 6 Stick
Garlic Powder: 6 TSP
Onion Salt
Instructions
Combine cereals, pretzels, shoestring potatoes, and nuts. Divide into 3 pans.
For each pan, melt 2 sticks of oleo and add 2 T Worcestershire sauce, 2 t garlic powder, 1-1/2 t seasoned salt, and a little onion salt.
If nuts are very salty, can reduce seasoned salt.
Pour each batch of butter mixture over one of the batches of cereal mix. Mix well.
Bake at 250 °F for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Stir every 15 minutes.
