This recipe says it's from Grandma, but I'm pretty sure this is the one my mother made. Such a treat when she got up early to make it and it was hot and fresh for breakfast.
Ingredients
Butter Or Oleo: 1/2 Cup
Baking Powder: 1 TSP
Granulated Sugar: 1 Cup
Salt: 2 TSP
Eggs: 3
Sour Cream: 1 Cup
Sifted Flour: 2 Cup
Vanilla: 1 TSP
Baking Soda: 1 TSP
Brown Sugar (Packed): 1/3 Cup
Granulated Sugar: 1/4 Cup
Cinnamon: 1 TSP
Chopped Pecans: 1 Cup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 °F.
Cream butter and 1 C sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour half of batter into buttered 9-inch square baking pan.
In separate bowl, mix brown sugar, 1/4 C sugar, cinnamon, and pecans.
Sprinkle half this mixture over batter in pan.
Pour remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the other half of the brown sugar mixture on top.
Bake at 325 °F for 40 to 60 minutes.
