Ingredients
- Flour: 1 Cup
- Salt: 1 TSP
- Baking Soda: 1/2 TSP
- Granulated Sugar: 1/2 Cup
- Packed Brown Sugar: 1 Cup
- Egg: 1
- Soft Shortening: 3/4 Cup
- Vanilla: 1 TSP
- Uncooked Oats: 3 Cup
- Water: 1/4 Cup
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips: 1 Cup
- Chopped Nuts: 1/2 Cup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F.
- Cream shortening, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla. Beat thoroughly.
- Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture and blend well.
- Add in oats, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 °F for 12-15 minutes.
