This is a typical New York cheesecake recipe
Ingredients
- Graham Cracker Crumbs (Chopped, Finely): 2 1/2 Cup
- Flour: 2 TBSP
- Butter (Melted): 1/2 Cup
- Cream Cheese (Softened): 2 Lbs.
- Lemon Juice: 1 TSP
- Sugar: 1 1/2 Cup
- Eggs: 4 Each
- Sour Cream: 2 Cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1 1/2 TSP
- Salt: 1/2 TSP
- Lemon Zest: 2 TSP
- Cornstarch: 1 TBSP
Instructions
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, flour, and melted butter together.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes at 350°F.
- Let the crust cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add lemon juice, sugar, eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, salt, lemon zest, and cornstarch. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake the cheesecake for 1 hour at 325°F.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving.
