A traditional tea cake encasing chocolate covered peanuts with a chocolate peanut butter glaze!
Ingredients
Cookie Dough:
Powdered Sugar: 1 1/2 Cup
Unsalted Butter (Softened): 2 Cup
All-Purpose Flour: 3 1/3 Cup
Table Salt: 1/4 TSP
To Make Chocolate-Peanut Cakes:
Chocolate Covered Candies (Goobers): 2 Cup
Milk Chocolate Chips: 1/4 Cup
Smooth Peanut Butter: 1 TBSP
Vegetable Shortening: 1 TSP
Instructions
Cookie Dough:
In large bowl, cream suger and butter until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt.
Stir until dough holds together. Set aside.
Wrap, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare and Bake Cookies:
Wrap dough around candies to form 1" balls. Place 2" apart on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes until set but not browned.
Remove immediately from cookie sheet to wire rack, cool completely.
In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and shortening. Cook over low heat until chips are melted stirring occasionally. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
