A traditional tea cake encasing chocolate covered peanuts with a chocolate peanut butter glaze!
Ingredients
- Cookie Dough:
- Powdered Sugar: 1 1/2 Cup
- Unsalted Butter (Softened): 2 Cup
- All-Purpose Flour: 3 1/3 Cup
- Table Salt: 1/4 TSP
- To Make Chocolate-Peanut Cakes:
- Chocolate Covered Candies (Goobers): 2 Cup
- Milk Chocolate Chips: 1/4 Cup
- Smooth Peanut Butter: 1 TBSP
- Vegetable Shortening: 1 TSP
Instructions
- Cookie Dough:
- In large bowl, cream suger and butter until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt.
- Stir until dough holds together. Set aside.
- Wrap, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare and Bake Cookies:
- Wrap dough around candies to form 1" balls. Place 2" apart on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes until set but not browned.
- Remove immediately from cookie sheet to wire rack, cool completely.
- In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and shortening. Cook over low heat until chips are melted stirring occasionally. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
