Sweet, fruit-filled and covered with cinnamon!
Ingredients
- Granny Smith Apples: 2 Each
- Water: 1 Cup
- Granulated Sugar (Divided): 1 Cup
- Unsalted Butter: 1/2 Cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1/4 TSP
- Canned Biscuits (8)
- Ground Cinnamon: 4 TSP
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Peel and core the Granny Smith apples.
- In a saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil.
- Divide the canned biscuits into 8 portions. Cut in half.
- Wrap each portion of biscuit dough around a peeled and cored apple.
- Place the wrapped apples in a baking dish.
- Pour the hot sugar mixture over the wrapped apples.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the pastry is golden brown.
- Serve hot, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
