Kayla's Shepherd's Pie

Can't call it tradional without mutton or lamb, but Americanized
Ingredients
Ground Beef, 80/20: 1 Lbs., 8 Oz.
Yellow Onion (Chopped): 1/2 Cup
Frozen Mixed Vegetables: 12 Oz.
Tomato Paste: 1/4 Cup
Italian Seasoning: 1 TSP
Table Salt: 1/2 TSP
Black Pepper (Ground): 1/4 TSP
Beef Broth: 1 1/2 Cup
All-Purpose Flour: 2 TBSP
Mashed Potatoes (Made In Advance): 1 Lbs., 8 Oz.
Instructions
For the beef filling:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned.
Add the frozen mixed vegetables, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
Whisk the flour into the beef broth, pour into the skillet. Stir well and simmer until thickened.
For assembling the Shepherd's Pie:
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Spread the beef filling evenly in a baking dish.
Top with the mashed potatoes, spreading them out to cover the filling completely.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
