Everyone's favorite dip made in the freshest way! Real onions, sauted well make it work like nothing else.
Ingredients
- Light Olive Oil: 2 TBSP
- White Onion (Chopped): 1 1/2 Cup
- Kosher Salt: 3/4 TSP
- Sour Cream: 1 Cup
- Mayonnaise: 1 Cup
- Garlic Powder: 1/2 TSP
- White Black Pepper (Ground): 1/4 TSP
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add white onions and sauté until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Season with 1 1/2 tsp of kosher salt and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and white black pepper.
- Add the caramelized onions to the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Season with 1 1/4 tsp of kosher salt and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
